College essay #2 social issue

Nowadays, people are very disrespectful. Adults do not teach or show their children to respect one another, especially adults. Some adults, teenagers and small children are mean and take their anger out on people they do not know.

People do not have manners. When children grow up surround by people that are mean and aggressive, they do the same. Adults show them how to behave and this is why it is very important that adults teach children to be respectful in order to live good lives or else they will grow up to be adults without direction.

In my apartment building, people slam the doors so hard that you could feel the vibrations on the next floor. They also hit each other day and night. One day, your neighbor can smile at you, and the next day they see you as if you were their worst enemy.  First, people need to respect themselves, so they can learn to respect others. However, one particular family does not respect at all, so they started inviting people in their apartment to live with them without paying rent. One of them ended up doing something horrible to the whole building. On the eve of June 29, 2011 a man with a cane, who made others believe he could not walk, could perfectly fine, and started a fire in the apartment. There was an unsupervised 3-year-old child stuck on the top floor.

Luckily, the fire and police department came just in time. The man was arrested but showed no remorse. I do not understand how people have no consideration or respect for anything. When I grow up, I want to be a teacher and teach elementary children the mathematics. I want to educate them beyond a subject area; I want to teach my students to be respectful. One reason I want to educate my students is that on other first things people do is criticize. You need to be responsible, respectful and well educated in order to go far in life and have a good future. Another reason I want to educate kids because by growing up and getting older they going to know how to respect. If parents and teachers do not educate their kids or students, while growing up they going to become irresponsible and disrespectful.

This demonstrates the reasons why I want to be a teacher.  I want to show my students that if they want to have a good future, there is a need to respect themselves and others.  If you do not respect others, you become in a bad violent person. This is why adults need to educate children and show them how to respect for their own good.

What I learn about first impression in a work setting is that they would like to hire a professional or expert of what they going to work. In addition, they would like to hire responsible, respectful and helpful. The appropriate clothing for a female is no jewelry, and normal hair no long hair and clothes that is appropriate for the job they looking for. You show good communication on interview is by shaking hands and eye contact .My resume should reflect is my personality. One part of the resume that should change for applying a new job is the objective.

POSt # 17 The Art Institute

What I like about The Art Institute of New York were the class sizes, there are four campuses and its full time or part time in the school classes. Yes, there were obvious differences between the two mercy campuses I visited. The differences were that this was a huge school and it looks very interesting and it looks the teachers are joyful to educate. What interested me of this School are the classes, how they designed and the classes’ looks exiting. What interested me the least was it did not have a cafeteria it had a small lounge. Yes, I would consider this college for an option because I was not interested on fashion but I went there and it really opened my eyes and mind.

What I liked of the Bronx Campus was there was a gigantic cafeteria. The differences that I saw from the Bronx and Manhattan campus were that the Bronx campus is small and it has a cafeteria but it does not have a lounge like the Manhattan campus. The campus that I prefer is the Manhattan campus. It has at least a lounge but I did not like what they sale in the Bronx campus cafeteria. The campus that I see myself is in The Bronx campus because its closer, it has great teaching ,and it has the pact program and the Manhattan are more far away from my house.

What I learn about the way I need to participate in the classroom is to talk loudly and to express myself even though I am shy. If I am shy, what ill need to do is to talk to the teachers after class, so I feel comfortable. There are differences in how I participate in a classroom versus how a student should participate in a classroom are that I am shy I do not participate because I want to it is because I am force too. How I am going to utilize this information is by doing my work every day and try my best is a better person. The changes I will make in my life once I get to college are to become responsible.

What I could do to manage my time, as high school student is to do everything better and calculate. The changes I would make in my schedule are to be early in my classes participate and be a better student. The changes that I will make in my life with regard to management a change once I get to college are to become independent and do my work. What I learn of time management is that in order to go to college we need to calculate time. Additionally I am not using my time effectively in the correct way.

The topic that I chose is how disrespect leads to violence. I chose this particular topic because I want to be a teacher and teach my students how to be respectful to everyone in every setting. This is important to me because there is a lot of violence and lack respect in school and in my community.  It is not good because as a community are supposed to be like a family love each other and respect one another. This topic will best represent me because I am growing up in a community and I see ill-mannered people in my community and a lot of violence. The impression I want this essay to have on them is to feel how I feel when I am in my community that I feel very sad to be in there.

POSt #12 Visit to Mercy College Manhattan Campus

From yesterday’s, tour in Mercy College were the best qualities: class size and the library looked organized. In addition, another quality was a learning center that provides free tutoring. Another reason I like Mercy College is they looked very respectful and there is an honors program. I learned the college setting was small campus and has a lounge. In my opinion, I think is a great financial option because you could rents books that are expensive. The most important while completing an application is starting early, visit colleges and asked questions.
